5 Reasons You Need To Hire A Wedding Planner

I was one of the photographers for this amazing wedding styled session at The Guest Ranch at Pacific Crest This wedding venue is nestled in the mountains of Wrightwood, CA. In this blog post we want to share the 5 reasons Tonette and Laurie recommend you hiring a wedding planner along with images from this styled session they put together!

When it comes to the wedding planning process, the bridal spectrum stretches from “I have no idea what I’m doing” to “I think wedding planning may be my calling!” Accordingly, for brides who don’t know where to start, hiring a wedding planner to help them along the way can feel like a no brainer. But for brides who are feeling like they’ve got this from the get-go or who feel like the extra help isn’t financially feasible, is spending thousands on a planner really worth the investment?

Planners Tonette and Laurie based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA  say it’s absolutely worth it! If you choose your planner wisely, it can actually end up saving you money.

1.    Doesn’t everyone like to save money? I know it sounds crazy – hiring an additional vendor could save you money. We as planners are your negotiators and number crunchers. Your budget is one of our main priorities and we help you stick to it all while maintaining the aesthetic and style you’re looking for. We as planners most likely have a reliable connection or vendor relationship . that caters to your style, needs, and budget.

2.    Wedding planning can get stressful! So why not help alleviate that stress? Put the load on us! Planners can help with the entire planning process and save you that extra time. Some of the duties are – gathering vendors, negotiating/overseeing contracts, maintaining your monthly timeline, assisting in vendor meetings, and create the design of your wedding.

3.    You have access to our preferred vendor list! Through the years planners make several connections. With all of their experiences and connections they compile a preferred vendor list. All are trust worthy vendors that offer exceptional services. Some of which are willing to provide special cost for utilizing them. This isn’t always the case but does happen!

4.    One of the important components of wedding is the visual/design aspect. Everyone wants a Pinterest wedding. But, once brides start reaching out to vendors with their Pinterest photos they get discouraged with cost. We as planners can help with the entire design aspect and make suggestions for your vision come to life all while maintaining your budget. Some planners even have their own allotment of inventory to help supply on your big day.

5.    Day of Coordinator – something that needs to be addressed in its own point, only because of the value and importance of this role. This can’t be expressed enough to brides. Your wedding day gets hectic… yes I said it, hectic.

Did my cake arrive on time?

Where are my flowers?

Did the groom arrive on time?

Did someone grab the rentals? I have to return them Monday!

Brides, you don’t want to be worrying about this. Day of Coordinators assist in day of vendor management, family support, set up, and clean-up of all items. Most importantly coordinators assist in your timeline for the day. There are so many components that go into a wedding, and time management is the most important part! You don’t want to skip a beat nor do you want to run out of time. Running out of times means you’ve missed some important things on your timeline or you’re paying the venue for an extra hour to complete all those special details.
